This generous contribution is made through Ripple’s own U.S. dollar-backed stablecoin, RLUSD, highlighting both Ripple’s commitment to social impact and the practical use of blockchain-based financial tools in philanthropy.

The donation specifically targets classrooms and educational equity, aiming to reduce barriers that teachers and students face in accessing quality resources and instruction. 

This move solidifies Ripple’s role as not just a financial technology leader but also a driver of positive change in public education.

Ripple’s generous donation has drawn heartfelt responses and powerful reflections from both the company’s leadership and the education partners involved, highlighting the deeper meaning behind the $25 million initiative.

Brad Garlinghouse, CEO of Ripple, reaffirmed the company’s deep-rooted belief in the power of education to shape a better future. 

He framed the donation not just as an act of charity but as a call to collective action, urging more companies and individuals to recognize the long-term value of investing in students and educators. His message carried a clear and inspiring appeal:

From the nonprofit side, Alix Guerrier, CEO of DonorsChoose, expressed admiration for Ripple’s hands-on approach to improving classroom conditions. 

He emphasized that the donation goes beyond financial support; it translates directly into tangible tools and resources for educators, empowering them to provide a richer, more effective learning experience. In his words:
