Hanwha Investment & Securities, a financial affiliate of the Fortune Global 500 company Hanwha, is building a global real world asset tokenization platform.

To power this infrastructure, the firm is adopting the Chainlink data standard and the Cross Chain Interoperability Protocol as its official data and interoperability infrastructure.

This collaboration spans the full path from tokenizing real world assets to distributing them globally and utilizing them as collateral. Within the platform, Chainlink provides trusted pricing and net asset value data for the issued assets.

Meanwhile, the Cross Chain Interoperability Protocol enables these assets and liquidity to move securely across both public and private blockchains.

This architecture allows assets to be issued on the chain best suited to their characteristics.

Through a single integration, the platform can reach more investors and liquidity across global markets without needing to build a custom integration for every new network.

Preparing for South Korea's Tokenized Securities Market

This partnership arrives as South Korea, one of Asia’s leading digital asset hubs, prepares to introduce its tokenized securities framework in February 2027.

As part of the Hanwha group, the securities firm is building the platform to lead this shift not only in Korea but across Asia and global markets.

Hanwha Investment & Securities brings quality assets from global asset managers, structuring expertise, and institutional grade market infrastructure. Chainlink brings the data and interoperability standards that connect them across networks.

The firm is currently in discussions with global asset managers and issuers on tokenizing and distributing a range of real world asset products to institutional investors.

Joint Working Group and Industry Standards

To ensure the platform meets rigorous financial standards, the two firms are forming a joint working group. This group will explore institutional use cases for executing securely into on-chain finance while meeting compliance and custody requirements.

They will also evaluate the valuation and reserve verification methods needed to use a wide range of real world assets as collateral. The technology and compliance frameworks developed will align with the institutionalization of tokenized securities in Korea.

Chainlink is providing dedicated technical support and priority access to new solutions for the Hanwha platform.

"Our goal is to tokenize quality assets that clients have wanted but found difficult to access, and to open a new financial market where they are issued, distributed, and used as collateral across global markets," said Insung An, Chief Digital Officer at Hanwha Investment & Securities.

Johann Eid, Chief Business Officer at Chainlink Labs, added that adopting the Chainlink data standard and Cross Chain Interoperability Protocol as official oracle infrastructure puts institutional grade security at the center of the global tokenization strategy.
